Review
The StartupRun from Nirsoft is a small program but have some excellent capability in its job. By using this utility you can manage all the applications which run during the windows startup process. It will display you all the programs which reside in the various windows startup locations. And for each item it will display you detailed information like Item name, Type, Full Command, Disabled or not, Product Name, File Version, Description, Company Name, Location and File creation date. By using StartupRun you can enable or disable any listed item just by a click or even you can also delete any listed item. And if you want to add new programs in your startup location then it is also possible with StartupRun utility. It gives you power to edit any existing item. One of its great features I really like is its BHO listing. BHO or Browser Helper Object is actually an ActiveX object and it start automatically with your Internet Explorer browser. Some ActiveX objects are good like your browser integrated download manager but some are bad like spyware or adwares which control your browser. But now you can control these BHO or ActiveX objects with StartupRun utility. You can enable or disable or even delete these BHO objects. |
